Jessica

A few things about your presentation.

The mind map maybe be a good starting point. Right now though, there is just too much information. I think you should pick one direction and go with it.

Also I'm having a little bit of trouble figuring out what the format is exactly but it looks like a brochure of some sort. I know you're really good at making books, maybe you can find a nice way to make an interactive book.

They way you are beginning to organize elements and your use of hierarchy are effective.

I understood that your mind map was not an proposal, but it looks like it would make a good interactive narrative.
What i think you should do is mind map your conversation with your partner and go with that, explaining his background with brewing beer and how he could not get a way from that. Also, how he didn't really change much through his 2nd postcard.
They way you make mind maps is always visually appealing to me, and it would be a good way to annotate. Just keep it simple.... (not too simple) :)
If i think of anything else I'll blog about it.

I took notes during class about your presentation.
The idea of color coding and highlights is good

You should pick a metaphor and go with that. :)

I understood what your proposals were but I liked the idea of the mind-map as an interactive. That way you have some control along with the user having some control.

Maybe doing a mind-map into an interactive brochure. Also, it would show how you work as a designer and how others work and since it is for designers then you should make it after your work habits.
