Letterform photos
I was able to recognize the letter forms more after working with them in the previous project which made my find easier. I plan on going out more and exploring what else I can find. I really enjoyed this assignment to get out of the studio area and enjoy the sunshine a bit; it opened my mind even more on realizing how much typography was around today.

words that begin with c and what i liked to do as a pair!
some of the combination words that I could use would be
coffin- casket- cobwebs- cemetery
company- clock
comedy- cinema
codes- cable- computer
circus- cannon
campfire- cabin- ?
I'm really interested in doing the codes, cables, computers, or chips(from a computer) thinking of hackers in the world. These words can also represent the working world of companies in the making and how the outlook will be in the future.
These are just some of the images I found on cables and codes. On the left I was drawn by this because of the effect of how the cables look like they are being braided but in fact they're being separated so no tangles happen. On the right is the number code used in some time of sending a message and having the ability to break or solve the code. These two images can have a lot of power for what I have in mind of how some hackers have the ability to crack into the systems of the world. This project will hopefully come out the way I would like it to.

for evalution
For this composition as a whole was based on how different people approach winter. My approach to each individual composition was thought to be more organic, abstract, and less literal. By the time of thinking about the type within each composition, I thought on how can I come across creating the meaning behind the word or words. Some may be to literal, but with a hint of abstraction. Within the type, dot and choosing the images, they shouldn't be represented by literal images, but with texture in each image. The things I learned about this project mainly would be to have patience with cutting out circles, the main spatial relations of the interaction of different fundamentals coming together as one, to think more abstractly about the piece, and how the image can either help or disturb what your trying to convey. The hierarchy, and scale had what I thought an important aspect of understanding the exercise and helped me complete the meaningful task. I know for sure what I can improve on is the was I can come up with ideas and how others may look at the piece differently from what I'd like it to be. Also, I would like to be able to keep on improving on how each composition appears.

Visual Communticaton Mind Map
Tuesday, September 2, 2008
This far and I still have more to do after working on this process for about 3 hours alone without the cutting out. This lower case "g" is about 3 1/2' by 2 11/12'. The process of coming up with this idea was the ability to see where the negative space is and express it. There are 99 g's within this piece and each small "g" is 2" by 3".
